The album "About my Grandfather" was released in October 2002. The music is performed by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra under the supervision of Ari Rasilainen. Joachim Knoph is the soloist on two of the Piano Concertos. This recording also includes two symphonic poems.
In 2002, the Pori Sinfonietta in Finland performed Heart from "Randi op.27" as an act of respect in memoriam September 11, and the city of New York.
"Piano Concerto no.2 "Urge" op.44" and "Piano Concerto no.3 "Monster"op.45" are works that Berg has dedicated to nature. The two symphonic poems "About my Grandfather op.37" and "Heart op.27 no.5", refer to his grandfather Ragnvald Jacobsen (1905 - 1997) and a beloved woman. The music on this release also appears in the movie "Montagna con Forza".
